Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike has given owners of the 762 revoked plots of land in Maitama two-week grace to pay for their Certificates of Occupancy (C of O). A Federal Capital Territory High Court on Thursday, admitted the immediate past Governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello, to bail in the sum of N500 million with three sureties in like sum. The Western Marine Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted 15 sacks of 538 kilograms of cannabis sativa, valued at N107.2 million. The Command’s Area Controller, Comptroller Paul Bamisaiye, made the disclosure in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Magaji Mailafiya, on Tuesday in Lagos. He said the seized bags contained 1,021 loaves of the illicit substances. Bamisaiye said that the consignment was intercepted by officers along the Ajido Waterways, Yekeme axis of the Command.
