The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested three suspected drug dealers with 2,000 ampoules of pentazocine injection as 3.1 million pills exol-5 in Gadar Tamburawa in Kano State. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) is set to probe leading players in the banking, telecommunications, and aviation sectors over widespread consumer complaints. A 50-year-old Brazil-based Nigerian businessman, has been detained by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for allegedly importing 700g of cocaine. The NDLEA’s spokesman, Mr Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja. Babafemi said that operatives of the agency on Friday Nov. 29, arrested and detained the suspect identified as Ezeokoli Sylva at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), Ikeja Lagos. He said that the suspect, who had lived in Brazil for 35 years, returned home with the cocaine buried in his stomach. This, he said was a discovery made following his arrest by NDLEA operatives.…
Operatives of the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) have sealed off a mega plaza in Breadfruit Street, Lagos Island for discharging untreated wastewater into the public drains, through the use of a pumping machine. The General Manager of the Agency, Engr. Adefemi Afolabi, speaking on the offence maintained that the State has zero tolerance for Environmental pollution and degradation. The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardoso, says the bank’s reforms align with efforts to establish a stronger and more resilient African financial architecture. Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon says he pleaded with late Gen. Sani Abacha not to execute former President Olusegun Obasanjo for alleged coup plot in 1995. Gowon said this at the maiden edition of the Interdenominational Unity Christmas Carol and Praise Festival organized by the Plateau Government. Obasanjo was arrested in 1995 by Gen. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has called for an evaluation of the Living Faith Church Airstrip license.
