The former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has reportedly arrived at the Abuja headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday afternoon. Nigeria’s owned Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced production of crude oil at a 60% capacity, following a major upgrade and modernization project since 2021. The announcement was made by the spokesperson, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Olufemi Soneye, on Tuesday. The refinery is set to dispatch its first batch of petroleum products on Tuesday, November 26. According to him, the refinery has kicked off with 60 percent capacity. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has affirmed that Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has recorded an increase of 3.46% in the third quarter of 2024. This was contained in its latest report which was published on Monday. Operatives of the Lagos State Taskforce have impounded 128 commercial motorcycles popularly known as “Okada”, for operating illegally in some parts of the state.
