Safiu Kehinde  Nigerians in Diaspora Commission’s (NiDCOM) Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has called for more women engagement in Nigerian Armed Forces. Agency Report  The House of Representatives say it would take up cases of unfunded agencies by the Federal Government, in spite of the requisite appropriation and their creation by the Act of parliarment. Rep. Ibrahim Isiaka, Chairman, Special Committee on the Restructuring of Federal Agencies, Commissions and Parastatals, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday. Safiu Kehinde  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has granted special promotion to eight of its officers following their interception of 60 Bags of Ghanaian ‘loud’. Agency Report  The Kaduna State Government (KDSG), said troops had neutralised eight bandits in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area (LGA), of the state. The Overseeing Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan ,confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, in Kaduna. Aruwan said based on operational feedback , troops commenced fighting patrol to Kampanin Doka general area and made contact with some bandits on arrival at the location. Safiu Kehinde  In the wake of Joe Ajaero’s agreement to honour Nigeria Police Force invitation over alleged terrorism funding, the Nigeria Labour Congress has threatened to embark on nationwide strike if the Union’s President gets detained. The Union made this stand known earlier today as they accompanied Ajaero to the Abattoir Police Office, Guzape area of Abuja. NPO Reports that the police had last week issued a summon to Ajaero asking him to come forward over the allegations. Ajaero, had however through Falana told the the summon was sudden and could not honour it until today. More details later…
