Agency Report The Bauchi State Government, in partnership with UNICEF, launched well chlorination initiative in 17 communities of Katagum Local Government Area to prevent water-borne diseases. Mrs Rahab Jatau, the Chief Scientific Officer of the Bauchi State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), disclosed this during the chlorination in Buskuri community of Katagum. Safiu Kehinde  An Ibadan Family Court sitting, has, on Thursday, remanded a 76-year-old man, Akeem Muritala, in a correction centre for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. According to the prosecutor, Insp. Gbemisola Adedeji, Muritala committed the offence in July in Isale-Afa area of Ibadan. She said that the raped victime reported what happened to the police. The prosecutor stressed that the offence contravened Section 34 of the Child Rights Law 2006. This was reportedly confirmed Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Wednesday.
