More details are emerging from the late night attacks on passengers traveling from Kaduna to Abuja on Monday. NPO Reports learnt that no fewer than seven persons may have been shot dead as the attackers rained bullets on the train after the track had been bombed. Kaduna State Government said the military late night rescued the Kaduna-bound train passengers trapped by terrorists on Monday. In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the government said information about the rescue mission was conveyed to it by security operatives. Aruwan said the government received multiple reports of an attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train service around Kateri-Rijana area. Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has said allowing traders to continue doing business under the burnt Apongbon Bridge will be reckless on the part of government. Former Senator representing Kaduna Central District has raised concerns over the possibilities of embattled DCP Abba Kyari being harmed in the Kuje Prison to which he was asked to be remanded.
