Analysis of more than 30 bottles of wine has found two glasses could be enough to reach the recommended daily sugar limit for adults. Research by Alcohol Health Alliance UK found some bottles had up to 59g of sugar – more than a glazed doughnut. An independent laboratory analysed bottles of red, white, rosé, fruit and sparkling wine from popular UK brands. Alec Baldwin “recklessly shot and killed” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust last year, a lawsuit from her family has alleged. Ms Hutchins, 42, died last year during a scene rehearsal after a gun held by Baldwin discharged a live round. Baldwin is one of several defendants named in the wrongful death lawsuit. Lawyers for the Hutchins family said she would still be alive if crew members had not cut corners. Ottawa Police Chief Peter Sloly has resigned after weeks of criticism for his handling of anti-vaccine mandate protests that have paralysed the city. Protesters have occupied the centre of Canada’s capital for 19 days, halting traffic and enraging residents. Nigerians are pained that queues at filling stations are getting longer by the day as the fuel scarcity bites harder in cities. A two-day survey by the NPO Reports spanning Monday and Tuesday showed that many fuel stations have closed to consumers either as a result of hoarding or outright lack of stock.
