Former Governor of Osun State Rauf Aregbesola narrowly escaped death in the state capital as gunmen attacked his convoy. The Minister of Interior was in Osogbo to assess the level of damage after an attack on the Oranmiyan House, his old campaign office last week. Abosede Oluwaseun who is the Youth Leader of the Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressive Congress confirmed the attack which he said took place at the Old Garage and Olaiya Junction of the state capital.

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency on Monday released a video to confirm that embattled former Head of Police Special Intelligence Team Abba Kyari was involved in drugs deals.
French police have shot dead a man wielding a knife who threatened them at Paris’s Gare du Nord train station. The man attacked two police officers on patrol at the station, with a 30cm (12in) knife, police said. An anti-police inscription was found on the man’s knife, reports say. The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency on Monday declared that former Head of the Police special intelligence team DCP Abba Kyari is a member of an international drugs cartel. The drugs Agency also said Kyari who was earlier suspended by the Police wanted over allegations of pushing illicit drugs.
