The speaker’s impeachment was carried out during a sitting of the house in which he was presiding. The impeachment followed a motion moved by the member representing Calabar South 1, Mr Effiong Ekarika, which was seconded by Mr Charles Omang, representing the Bekwara constituency. The bail, said to be for two weeks comes ahead of his bail application ruling which was scheduled for May 31. Kyari has been detention for 27 months after his arrest over aiding and abeting drugs trafficking. The embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police was granted the two week bail by an Abuja Federal High Court. Passengers on a Singapore Airlines flight hit by severe turbulence on Tuesday described a sudden, dramatic drop as “all hell broke loose” on board the Boeing airliner carrying 229 passengers and crew. The head of Singapore Airlines has apologised after a flight on Tuesday was hit by “severe extreme turbulence”, killing one person and injuring dozens. Goh Choon Phong said the airline was “very sorry for the traumatic experience” for those onboard flight SQ321 from London to Singapore. The flight was forced to make an emergency landing in the Thai capital Bangkok. Some 79 passengers and six crew members are still in Bangkok – where they are receiving medical treatment for injuries. In the final match played at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja, Lagos team won all the quarters of the final match. This was contained in the statement released by the EFCC on Tuesday.
