The closure of the Third Mainland Bridge continues today as the Ministry of Works said rehabilitation works would continue. The ministry said traffic would be restricted from Lagos Island to Iyana Oworo on the Third Mainland Bridge from 12.00 a.m on Wednesday, to allow for repairs. The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday night in Lagos. Agency report The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the national security implications of the current status of Cryptocurrency, block chain, and other digital asset transactions. This followed the adoption of a motion by Rep. Isiaka Ibrahim (APC-Ogun), during plenary in Abuja. Moving the motion, Isiaka said that the growing global concerns about the national security implications of cryptocurrency transactions through cryptocurrency exchanges including consumer and investor security. He said these exchanges enable money laundering by criminals and terrorists for their illicit activities. By Femi Alabi Oyo State Government has directed occupants and owners of illegally erected kiosks, containers and shanties as well as other roadside traders to vacate the roadsides within seven days or face sanctions. State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, gave the directive in Ibadan on Tuesday while on an inspection tour of Ojoo area of the state. Mogbonjubola said that the illegal occupants were causing unwarranted obstruction to road traffic.
