Abure, who has been at the centre of some financial allegations in his party was arrested in Benin, Edo state capital. Adesanya is wanted in connection with some alleged financial transactions between him and former Minister of Power under President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr. Olu Agunloye. EFCC on its official X handle stated that the suspects were arrested at various locations in Lagos, between February 16 and 17, 2024.
