Though there is no official family confirmations of the death of veteran journalist, one of his colleagues in the sports journalism community Colin Udoh broke the news via his X handle late Wednesday night. Also released was another girl who was kidnapped along with her after the kidnappers had killed the monarch on February 2 . The kidnappers had earlier demanded a sum of N100m to release the victims. Ibrahim was the governor of Yobe state between 1999 to 2007.
