The Ministry of Environment and Water Resources stated in Ikeja that the markets were sealed because of indiscriminate dumping and burning of refuse, the filthy environment, and blocked drains. Alhaji Ahmed Idris, media aide to Kebbi’s Gov. Nasir Idris, stated on Friday in Birnin Kebbi that the council chairman, Alhaji Hussani Aliyu-Bena confirmed the rescue of the victims on Thursday. The Competition Markets Authority (CMA) said the updated bid had addressed concerns, after it blocked the original $69bn (£59bn) deal in April. Microsoft will hand the rights to distribute Activision’s games on consoles and PCs over the cloud to French video game publisher Ubisoft. The Commander, NNS BEECROFT, Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga, said this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos, by the Base Information Officer, Sub-Lt. Happiness Collins.
