The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has confirmed Dr kayode Ajulo, a constitutional lawyer and 57 others as Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs). This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Secretary of LPPC, Mr Hajo Bello. The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) on Thursday says it has restored regulatory services to one of its licensees, Globacom Ltd., a telecommunications company after it successfully cleared its outstanding debt. This was made known in a statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs at NCC, Mr Reuben Muoka. It said that the Telco had obligations to the Commission for unpaid Spectrum Fees, Numbering Fees and Annual Operating Levy (AOL). A former NFL player has been charged with the murder of his mother after being arrested in California on Tuesday. Authorities had been searching for Sergio Brown since his mother Myrtle Brown, 73, was found dead near her home outside of Chicago last month. He will be extradited to Illinois to face charges of first-degree murder, police said. Mr Brown played for four professional teams during a six-year career. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has restated commitment to boost liquidity in the Foreign Exchange (FX) market. CBN’s Director, Corporate Communications, Dr Isa AbdulMumin, made this known on Thursday in Marrakech. Kano State has at least 989,234 out-of-school children, UNICEF’s Country Representative in Nigeria, Ms Cristian Munduate, said in Kano on Thursday. She told a news conference that the almost one million out-of-school children in the state are of both gender. The International Olympic Committee’s executive board has suspended the Russian Olympic Committee “with immediate effect until further notice”. The move comes after the ROC recognised regional organisations from four Ukrainian territories illegally annexed by Russia since its full-scale invasion began in 2022.
