Gov. Hyacinth Alia on Wednesday said over 400,000 pupils would benefit from the next phase of the National Home-grown School Feeding Programme ( NHGSFP) in Benue. Alia said this while declaring open the Annual Training of Master Cooks of the NHGSFP at Government Model Secondary School, High Level, Makurdi. The Governor represented by the Commissioner for Humanitarian and Disaster Management, Mr Anodowase Kunde, said the school vendors would be recruited from the wards in each Local Government Area. An Ikeja High Court on Wednesday convicted two pipeline vandals, Clement Ododomu and Tiwei Monday, charged with killing seven officers of the Department of State Security (DSS). The killings occurred on Sept. 14, 2015 at Ishawo Creek, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Justice Hakeem Oshodi found Ododomu and Monday guilty but deferred their sentencing until Nov. 14 following plea for mercy by their counsel. Dang uba was said to have been admitted into a hospital on Tuesday only to give up in the early hours of Wednesday. The All Progressive Congress lawmaker will be buried at 11 a.m. in Sokoto State. Danbuga is survived by two wives, many children and grandchildren. The news of his death has thrown the National Assembly into mourning. Details later….

The Katsina State Government, has dissolved the management of the Katsina United FC of Katsina with immediate effect. This is contained in a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Sports, Malam Yusuf Rabiu-Jirdede on Wednesday in Katsina.
