By Halimah Olamide The Department of State Services (DSS), has released the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in charge of Economic Policy, Kingsley Obiora, who was arrested on Wednesday. His arrest was believed to be part of the ongoing investigations of the suspended Governor, Godwin Emefiele. Others under investigations are Sa’adatu Ramalan Yero and the recently sacked NIRSAL CEO, Abbas Masanawa. There are insinuations that Obiora will be a witness in court when Emefiele’s full trial begins.

The Police Command in Katsina State, has arrested 10 suspected fraudsters in possession of fake N144,000 notes. The command Spokesperson, ASP Aliyu Abubakar-Sadiq said this in Katsina on Friday. According to him, the suspects were arrested by detectives on Aug. 28, at Bakin Kasuwa quarters in Kankia, following credible intelligence report. Abubakar-Sadiq added that during investigation, the suspects allegedly confessed to the crime, adding that they would soon be taken to court.
