Agency Report The Ogun House of Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution recommending immediate suspension of Oba Taofeek Owolabi, the Olu of Obafemi in Obafemi Owode Local Government area of the state, over alleged land grabbing. Safiu Kehinde No fewer than 16 persons have been confirmed dead in a road accident which occured along Lagos-Ibadan expressway recently today. The casualties, as confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), were involved in a multiple crash at Ojoo-Iwo Road axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. While 17 other people reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries, FRSC Oyo State Sector Command’s Spokesperson, Mayowa Odewo, disclosed that only two people were injury-free out of the 35 persons involved in the accident. Safiu Kehinde Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps have destroyed alcoholic drinks worth one million Naira during a raid on Olupese Terminal Park and Oshodi-Bolade Garages earlier today. The agency, popularly known as KAI, disclosed this in a statement signed by its Director of Public Affairs and Advocacy, Ajayi Lukman. Agency Report A pilot who died after they crashed a stolen helicopter into a hotel in Australia had attended a party with staff members the night before, their employer has said. The helicopter belonged to Queensland-based helicopter tour agency Nautilus Aviation who said the employee had been celebrating at a private send-off with colleagues hours before the crash. Nautilus added that the individual was licensed to fly helicopters in New Zealand but had never flown in Australia.
