The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday arrested former Governor of Anambra state Willie Obiano. Obiano was arrested hours after the official inauguration of his successor Prof Charles Soludo in Awka. Information available to the NPO Reports show that the Governor had been on the watchlist of the commission for about 8 months now. Following its National Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party has pegged its nomination and expression of interest forms for presidential aspirants at N40m. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed this to Correspondents shortly after the NEC meeting on Wednesday evening at its national secretariat, Abuja. For governorship aspirants, the forms would sell for N21m. Aspirants seeking seats in the national Senate and House of Assembly would pay N3.5m and N2.5m respectively to obtain both forms. A Fox News cameraman and a Ukrainian journalist traveling with him were killed on Monday in Ukraine when their vehicle came under fire outside Kyiv, according to the network and Ukrainian authorities. The cameraman, Mr. Zakrzewski, 55, and the Ukrainian journalist, Oleksandra Kuvshynova, 24, were traveling in the same vehicle as the Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was also injured in the attack in the town of Horenka.
