The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) raised the alarm on Thursday in Abuja about diversion of public funds. ICPC Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasannoye, raised the alarm at a two-day capacity-building workshop for members of the House of Representatives Committee on Anti-Corruption. A Nigerian professor Dike Zainab has been arrested in Abuja after a bloody scene where allegedly brutalized her female police orderly. It was also reported that the professor ordered some boys to deal with the police officer by beating her up. Despite a decision of the National Industrial Court ordering members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities back to work, Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, has said that the government is still ready to negotiate. The National Industrial Court of Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja ordered the striking lecturers to return to the classroom following a suit filed by the Federal Government.
