Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi, a Trustee of the Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON), has been named as the new Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Abuja.
This was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday issued by AMCRON President, Prof. Eserinune Mojaye.
According to the statement, Adeniyi who is immediate past Secretary-General of AMCRON was elevated to the new position at the university yesterday.
The former Guardian newspaper staff was, until his appointment, the Registrar of the institution.
Eserunine congratulated Adeniyi over the new accomplishment, describing it as a testament of his managerial skills and academic prowess.
The statement read; “I am pleased to announce that Prof. Abiodun Gabriel Adeniyi, a Trustee of the Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON) and the immediate past Secretary-General of the Association has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Abuja with effect from today, 6th May 2026.
“Until this appointment, Prof. Adeniyi was the Registrar of the institution.
“This appointment is a further testament of Prof. Adeniyi’s managerial skills and academic excellence. Congratulations”
