Cross-dresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly called Bobrisky, on Friday admitted to being guilty over abuse of the Nigerian currency, the Naira.
Bobrisky, who was brought into the court about about 11.30am wasted no time admitting to the first four charges after the judge had struck out the last 2 charges which bordered on money laundering.
EFCC lawyer, Suleiman Suleiman had told the court that the commission would like to adjust its charges demanding that the suspect be arraigned only on the first four charges on the charge list which bordered on abuse of naira.
Justice Abimbola Agboworo struck out the last two charges on the request of the commission.
Bobrisky was brough to the court with his head and face covered with a black scarf. He was escorted into the courtroom by a number of EFCC officials who went straight into the courtroom immediately he was brought down from the bus that brought him to the court.
It was gathered that the decision to reduce the charges was to ensure speedy trial after he had agreed Thursday night he would plead guilty to the charges on abuse of Naira.
