• “Are You Now Card-Carrying Member of APC?”

Scores of responders and followers of the Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, have demanded whether he has now become a member of the All Progressive.

The question arose after the Minister posted a comment on his X handle where he wished all candidates of the APC victory in the governorship elections taking place today. NPO Reports that three states of Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo are going to the polls in an off circle election supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission. In his post, Tijani had tweeted, “Uzodimma @Hope_Uzodimma1 Executive Governor of Imo State and the good people of Imo the very best. Also sending my best wishes to our candidates in Kogi and Bayelsa State as we look forward to a smooth and successful process tomorrow.”

However, majority of responders have expressed surprise at the Minister’s sudden partisan expressions querying when did he formally declare his membership of the ruling party.

NPO Reports that Tijani was picked purely on his professional dossiers having emerged as one of the leading Information Technology experts of the Nigerian stock. He was based in the United Kingdom and had spearheaded a number of Tech projects especially those empowering many young Nigerians in the past.

He has to his credit facilitating the coming of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerbergs to Nigeria years back. He became controversial after his nomination when senators took him to task during his screening by the Senate during which he was asked to explain his previous condemnations of his own country part of which also included his denigration of the Nigerian passport.

Olawale, @walecoker65 has disputed whether he has become a full member of the APC. He wrote ;

“Lmao, this one has become a full-fledged APC member, where are those hawking the “he’s different from them” narrative?”

@EbenezaWikina who queried when he became a card carrying member of the APC said;

“Our Candidates” Bosun please na you’re not a politician, when did you become a card carrying member of APC? Please na please na

“Leave these politicians alone let them not stain you white na please”

@uncle_Onos questioned; “Our candidate” how? Have you suddenly become an APC member? Must everyone be a politician to serve in an APC govt?

“We had Akinwunmi Adeshina, Olusegun Aganga and Ngonzi Okonjo Iweala as Ministers under Goodluck Jonathan’s PDP Govt too but never mingle into politics. Strict professionals!
