The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has again postponed the collation of presidential election results till 3:30pm.
INEC had earlier shifted the exercise to 2pm due to unavailability of substantial number of state’s results.
Announcing the Postpoment on Tuesday afternoon, commission’s Chairman on Voters Education, Festus Okoye said the reason behind the decision was to allow other SCOPE who are already nearby to arrive.
“We have around four of them that have landed at the Airport and they are on their way to National Collation Centre. We also have around five that are already here.
“We’ve decided as a commission to have a substantial number of the state collation officers for presidential election so that we can have a long-stretch exercise. We don’t want to take three or four and go on break.
“I plead with you to give us sometimes. We are definitely going to come out at 3:30pm to begin the collation,” Okoye said
