North London club, Arsenal has clinched its first English Premier League title in 22 years as Bournemouth held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw.
Having secured a narrow 1-0 win against relegated Burnley on Monday to increase their lead on the tsble to five points, the Gunners hope for a favourable outcome between Man City and Bournemouth to seal their spot as Premier League champion before the last game of the season.
The odds eventually went in favour of Arsenal on Tuesday night as the Cherries dented the Pep Guardiola-led side’s hope of closing the gap on Arsenal and set up an ultimate final day title decider showdown.
In a game which woul have seen Bournemouth steal all three points, a late equaliser in the 94th minute from Man City spoiled the show for the host.
The Cherries were put in an early lead courtesy a 39th minute goal by Kroupi.
They maintained through to the second half, denying Man City goalscoring opportunities.
