One of Nigeria’s most talented footballers Henry Nwosu, has died.
The death of the ace winger at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in the early hours of today was announced by ace footballer and former teammate, Patrick Segun Odegbami.
Odegbami said Nwosu died after days battling with his health at the Lagos health facility.
The news of Nwosu’s death comes days after the death of one of the most celebrated Nigerian coaches Festus Adegboye Onigbinde. Onigbinde died at the age of 88.
In his football career, Nwosu played for teams such as the New Nigerian Bank of Benin, ACB of Lagos, ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast and RC Bagoussam of Cameroon.

After 5 days in hospital battling for his life, the one I call ‘Youngest Millionaire’ passed on at 4:00 am this morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos where he had been in Intensive Care since Wednesday.
It is with deep pain in my heart that I have to be the conveyor of the news of the death of Henry Nwosu MON, the youngest of the victorious 1980 AFCON squad.
May he rest peacefully with our Creator in Heaven.
