Former Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Comptroller General, David Parradang, has been killed by suspected kidnappers in Abuja.
Parradang, a retired Immigration boss, was reportedly abducted in Area 1, Abuja, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The assailants had trailed him from a bank where he had withdrawn money.
According to report, they took the cash from him before eventually killing him.
Parradang served in the NIS for over 30 years, holding various positions across the country, including Comptroller General and postings in Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory.
He also attended several professional courses both within Nigeria and internationally.
The late Immigration boss was awarded the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in recognition of his srvice.
Security agencies have reportedly launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his abduction and killing, with efforts ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
