The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has declared a nationwide strike following the negotiations over the new minimum wage
The President of the TUC, Festus Osifo announced the strike at a joint news conference with the leadership of the NLC in Abuja on Friday.
The strike which is also attributed to the failure of the FG to reverse the hike in electricity tariff is set to take effect from Monday June 3rd.
The Organised Labour had earlier given the Federal Government up till the end of May to conclude negotiations for a new minimum wage.
