The Directorate of State Security Wednesday night commenced the grilling of the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa.
Bawa was a few hours before that suspended indefinitely by President Bola Tinubu over allegations bordering on abuse of office.
The DSS confirmed the arrival of Bawa in its office Wednesday night.
In a statement by Peter Ifunaya, spokesman of the DSS, the invitation of the suspended EFCC Chairman bordered on issues relating to investigations on his actions.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.”
