The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their industrial action.
The TUC president Festus Osifo disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja after a joint extraordinary national executive council meeting of the unions.
NPO Reports that the union declared an indefinite strike following the negotiations on a new minimum wage and the hike in electricity tariff.
Following the strike, many sectors downed their tools and halted activities on Monday.
This development further crippled economic activities as businesses, hospitals, schools, banks and many other institutions shut down activities.
