The Senate has on Wednesday approved the appointments of Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as Minister of Power.
This is coming a day after President Bola Tinubu wrote to the red chamber for the confirmation of the ministerial appointees.
NPO Reported that Tinubu had appointed Enikanloye to fill the vacant position left by the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, while Tegbe was appointed as replacement of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.
The confirmations of the appointments reportedly followed the nominees’ screening at plenary, where they were subjected to scrutiny and responded to questions from lawmakers before being cleared by the Committee of the Whole.
