President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja from London where he went for a routine two-week medical check-up.
It was gathered that, the President’s official jet touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, few minutes ago.
President Buhari had left for London on October 31 after attending the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
While in the UK, president Buhari met with King Charles III at Buckingham palace where the two leaders had heart-to-heart talks.
During the meeting, Buhari reportedly told King Charles III that he has no house in UK and he’s not interested in having any.
Buhari disclosed this in an interview he had after the bi-lateral meeting
“He (King Charles III) asked me whether I have a house here (in the UK), I said no. I live in Nigeria alone, the only house I have are those I have before I got into government and I am not very much interested in having houses all over the place. I feel much freer when I have nothing,” the President had revealed.
This is not the first time the President will travel to London for medical check-up in 2022. Buhari was in the United Kingdom in March and in July for medical purpose.
