The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has described the outcome of the recently concluded by-elections in Rivers, Kano and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a referendum on the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The party said the victories recorded by its candidates reflect growing public confidence in the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the ongoing economic and governance reforms.
The Lagos APC spokesman, Seye Oladejo, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos.
Oladejo thanked voters in Rivers and Kano states, the FCT and other affected constituencies for what he described as their overwhelming support for the ruling party during the by-elections.
According to him, the outcome of the polls clearly underscores public endorsement of President Tinubu’s leadership style and the progressive principles shaping governance at the federal and state levels.
He said the victories reaffirmed the electorate’s trust in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the transformative policies currently being implemented across key sectors of the economy.
Oladejo added that the results showed Nigerians’ appreciation for decisive leadership, economic reforms, infrastructural development and efforts aimed at strengthening public institutions.
He noted that despite criticism and opposition narratives surrounding the administration, voters expressed their judgment through the ballot.
The Lagos APC spokesman further argued that the results demonstrated that political influence on social media does not necessarily translate into electoral success.
According to him, online opposition narratives failed to gain real traction among voters when it mattered most on election day.
He stressed that democracy is ultimately determined by voters at the polling units, not by digital trends.
Oladejo commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for organising the elections and praised security agencies for ensuring a peaceful process.
He also applauded party members, campaign teams and volunteers for their grassroots mobilisation, which he said played a key role in the party’s success.
The spokesman reaffirmed the Lagos APC’s support for President Tinubu and pledged the party’s continued commitment to strengthening democracy and delivering the dividends of governance to Nigerians.
He said the by-election victories represent not just political gains but a renewed responsibility to serve the people with greater dedication.
