Millions of banks customers continued to agonise on Wednesday as many branches were shut against them just as the automated teller machines continued to be dry of cash.
Many banks visited by the NPO Reports correspondent on Wednesday showed a large number of people who left stranded in front of banks as the banks said they were closed for the day.
At the GTB branch, Ogba, customers were seen in hundreds with no hopes of getting cash either from the counters or from the ATMs.
NPO Reports correspondent observed that customers who had issues of dispensing error were given error forms by the security men who asked them to fill and return.
One of the security men approached by our correspondent said he could not say if customers would be allowed into the banking hall or not.
A visit to the GTB branch at Berger, Lagos confirmed that the branch shut against customers.
One of the customers at the Ogba branch said she had gone to the Berger branch earlier and customers were addressed and told the bank wasn’t open for customers today.
