A concerned Nigerian, Shehu Mahdi, has revealed how foreign construction firms now pay terrorists and bandits to seek their protections against being kidnapped in some parts of the Northern Nigeria.
Mahdi, in a video evidence he shared, showed a Lebanese who was found in the midst of some known terror gang leaders who were wielding guns but apparently in some cordial relationship.
The Lebanese expatriate is said to be handling a road project in Zamfara State and has secured the protection of an armed bandit known as Mai-Jakka. Mahdi said in his post, “The post reads: “The white Lebanese in the video below is heading a road dualization protect in Zamfara state. The Bob merly style hair armed guy is a wanted bandit called mai- jakka, responsible for most kidnappings, abductions, rapings, killings, and maimings along Sokoto-.Gusau Road.
“Funnily, he is walking freely, prompting one to ask about the purpose of the multi-billion Naira drones. Same drones that were deployed and killed innocent souls on religious celebrations. Those can afford to pay for personal safety and protection along high ways should contact the Labenese Engineer and learn the art and skills of negotiating with armed non-state actors.”
Mai-Jakka, who spoke in Hausa, was accusing the federal government of lying in the claim that they had kidnapped the Lebanese man and that they (bandits) had killed. He said in the video that the man is alive and secured .
