Afrobeats singer and nephew of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State David, popularly called Davido, has announced his intention to register as a member of the Accord Party in the state.
Davido said he will be in Osogbo, the state capital on Wednesday to register at the Imole House, the campaign headquarters of the party.
Governor Adeleke is seeking a second term in office.
However, his journey to another four years in office has been challenged by a myriads of political factors ranging from factionalisation of his former party the People’s Democratic Party on which platform he was elected in 2022.
Aftee quitting the PDP, he has declared his membership of Accord Party while winning it’s primary election last week.
Davido has been known to support his uncle since he forayed into politics.
In his tweet in his verified X handle Tuesday evening, Davido wrote thus:
