Nigerian afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to drop a new song on Friday.
Davido announced the date for the release of the new single titled ‘I Know I who I Be’ in a post on his X handle on Monday.
The Grammy Award nominee described the yet-to-be released single as the beginning of his journey to the thrown.
“The journey to the throne begins. 👑 My next single I Know Who I Be releases June 26th.” He wrote.
Recall that Davido had in the 68th Grammy Awards held in February 2026 finished as runnerup in the Best African Music Performance award.
He was nominated for his hit song “With You” alongside Omah Lay.
Unfortunatelty, the renowned Nigerian artist did not take home the award, which was won by South African singer Tyla for her track “Push 2 Start.
Meanwhile, Davido’s announcement of the release dst of his new song signalled his commencement of another quest for the presitgious award with fans anticipating for the release.
