The much-awaited white wedding of Nigerian afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, is set to hold in Miami, United States.
Davido who earlier this week concluded his world tour had on Wednesday arrived in Miami with preparation for the wedding immediately commencing.
As disclosed by the singer, $3.7 million has been spent so far in preparation for the wedding which is set to hold today with heavy attendance expected.
“We’ve spent $3.7 million in cash. So, you should know what we are doing. It’s going to be crazy,” the 32-year-old singer said in a video shared on Instagram by fellow artiste Teni.
Pre-wedding videos and photoshoots of the much-anticipated wedding tagged #Chivido25 had since flooded the social media.
On Saturday, a bus party was held with Chioma and her bridesmaid seen in dancing to Davido’s song, With You, which he recently released in collaboration with fellow artist Omah Lay.
Another video showed Chioma and the singer together with the former announcing that this will be her third wedding with the afrobeats singer.
“Married for the third time now” Chioma had said in the video.
Despite US visa concerns which has ruled out Davido’s best friend and socialite, Okechukwu Pascal (Cubana Chief Priest) from the wedding, several other Nigerian celebrities have arrived at Miami ahead of the wedding.
A video shared on X on Sunday showed the arrival of popular Nigerian businessman, Obi Cubana, who was welcomed alongside his wife by Davido.
