The Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, Agbor, has withdrawn the query issued to a student nurse, Osafor Edobor, over viral TikTok video mocking First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
NPO Reported that Edobor had shared a video of the First Lady’s visit to Asaba for the Renewed Hope Health Initiative Programme where she donated 10,000 professional kits to midwives on Tuesday.
In recognition of Tinubu’s arrival at the event the MC had geared the students as he sang “Na our Mama be dis o. We no get another one.”
The students, as captured in the video shared by Edobor, turned down the MC’s claim of the First Lady being their mother as they echoed “Na your Mama be dis o” in response.
The clip would go viral, attracting the attention of the school management, who issued queried the student nurse on Thursday.
The school management, however, reverted their decision as they withdraw the query under the directive of the Delta State Commissioner for Health, Joseph Onojaeme.
As contained in the letter issued on Friday, the school management directed Edobor to return the query letter to the provost through the students affairs officer.
The letter read; “The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme in his magnanimity has directed the school authority to withdraw the query issued to you on the 27th March, 2025.
“You are therefore to return the query letter through the student affairs officer to the office of the provost,
“The school authority regrets any inconveniences this must have caused the state.”
