The Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Blessing Ebhodaghe, has again come under public spotlight following a leaked audio of him allegedly threatening to demolish a hotel for hosting the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
In the leaked telephone conversation alleged to be between Ebhodaghe and the owner of the undisclosed hotel, the council chairman threatened to mobilise officials to come and take over the hotel as he claimed that the land belongs to the government.
‘You want to try the government. That land belongs to the government.
‘The government will come and fill up that place. The government will come and prove to you that they own that land.’ He could be heard saying in the clip.
Meanwhile, Ebhodaghe had earlier this week come under scrutiny following a video of his deputy mandating drivers at motor parks to wear the All Progressives Congress branded cap, warning that any driver found with another party’s outfit will be barred from the park.
With the leaked audio of his threat against the hotel owner, calls for his arrest intensified as netizens react.
