Former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomole, has condemned the use of violence at the ongoing gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking at his polling unit after casting his vote earlier today, Oshiomole stressed that the requirements for the election are Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and the ballot box.
He strongly condemned any violent act observed in the course of the election which alleged to be perpetrated by political parties wo failed to sign the peace accord.
“We have emphasized that the only instrument required today is PVC and ballot.
“Violence will do no good to anybody. At the end of the day, who do you want to preside over?
“You can’t force people to vote against their wish. I commend in strong term, anyone who is resorting to violence.
“Those who refused to sign the peace accord have already by their conduct shown they want to cause violence, but God will neutralize their weapon. We don’t need. It is not a do or die.” He said.
