The Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has demanded an investigation into an attack carried out on a students leader who claimed to be the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
His attackers are allegedly linked to the President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
He made the assertion in an X post in response to an X user, @Diplomat_01, who posted a video of the NANS president narrating how he was allegedly assaulted by thugs allegedly linked to the son of Nigeria’s President, Mr. Seyi Tinubu after declining a monetary offer of N100 Million to promote the president.
El-Rufai, in his statement emphasized the need for a thorough investigation.
“What is going on here? Is there a denial by the named culprits or any response from law enforcement agencies or inquiries by the human rights organizations? We nust ask questions, and demand answers and action!! #JusticeforNANSPresident” he wrote.
In the video, the NANS President stated that he had not benefitted from the President’s regime to warrant him taking up such monetary offer.
He alleged that the younger Tinubu planned his abduction and that he was kidnapped on the 15th of April where he was beaten and stripped naked.
He further stated that he was taken to the NTA (Nigerian Television Authority) to make a voluntary statement that he had renounced his position as NANS president.
