Former Cross River state governor, Liyel Imoke, is set to lead the African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) National Convention Central Coordination Committee.
Imoke who governed Cross River from 2007 to 2015 was declared as the Chairman of the David Mark-led ADC committee in a special announcement issued on the party’s official X handle on Thursday.
With the ADC affirming its stance on holding the convention despite the de-recognition of its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the released the 22-man committee for the convention slated to hold on the 14th of April.
Emerging as the Deputy Chairman of the committee is former Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal while Dr. Ajuji Emmanuel was appointed as the Secretary.
Members of the committee include Aminu Gwarzo, Prof. Pat Utomi, Emeka Ihedioha, and Serah Ibrahim.
Other members include Tajudeen Bakare, Ben Obi, Solomon Dalung, and Nkoyo Toyo amongst others.
Also established by the ADC are sub-committees which include venue, security, finance, media & publicity, new media, and delegate accreditation sub-committes.
