Former Minister of Solid Minerals, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has demanded an explanation from the Inspector General of Police over the disappearance of undercover journalist.
The undercover journalist is popularly known as PIDOMNIGERIA, on X.
However, news of his disappearance was brought to public by investigative journalist, Benjamin Hundeyin, via a post on PIDOM’s X account on Friday.
It read;
“Nigeria’s best known anonymous insurgent whistleblower has gone missing and his social media accounts have been compromised.”
In response to this, Ezekwesili has therefore called on the Inspector General of Police and Director General of DSS, to display transparency and public accountability.
According to her, his disappearance has widely generated concerns and as such fingers pointing in their direction.
“Public accountability mandates that Nigerians are duly informed about the whereabouts of Citizen-@PIDOMNIGERIA whose disappearance is raising serious concerns and fingers are pointing in your direction.
“You should by now have learnt how to avoid unconstitutional actions against citizens that can cause restiveness.
“Let the public know immediately why @PIDOMNIGERIA is in your custody.
“Release @PIDOMNIGERIA immediately to exercise his constitutional rights of reply against any allegations you have against him.” She wrote.
