Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Hajia Sadiya Umaru Farouk, has on Monday morning submitted herself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for questioning.
The former Minister, who has been caught in the web of a N37bn fraud in her ministry, arrived at the ant-graft agency office days after she was first expected to give accounts over the said funds.
“I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating,” Umaru-Farouk confirmed her arrival in a personal statement left on her X handle Monday morning.
