Immediate former Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has travelled to Norway, to attend the 20th edition of the Oslo Forum.
The Forum is a series of retreats for international conflict mediators, high-level decision-makers, and other peace process actors, according to its organisers.
Osinbajo quit office on May 29 this year having served as vice president for eight years.
Sharing images of the commencement of the meeting, Osinbajo write via his verified twitter handle “I am in Oslo, Norway to attend the 20th Oslo Forum hosted by the Norwegian Government. It is an opportunity to speak with decision makers, experts, peace process actors and reflect on the practice of mediation.
He said it was his pleasure to have dinner Monday night with the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs: HE Anniken Huitfeldt, Phumzile Mlambo -Ngcuka (Former Deputy President of South Africa), Ahmed Fiqi (Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Somalia).
Alvaro Durán (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia), Isidro L. Purisima (Acting Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity in the Philippines).
He said, “I look forward to frank conversations and fruitful deliberations.”
