Roqeebat Qazeem, a graduate of Lagos State University (LASU) has on Friday won a car at the popular Yoruba programme, Masoyinbo.
Qazeem who took up the challenge to engage in conversation in pure Yoruba with the programme anchor, Lekan Fabilola, also answered trivia questions correctly to win herself a brand new car courtesy Remmy Matics auto dealers.
The LASU graduate emerged the first challenger to win the top prize of the programme at its live edition held at Terra Kulture in Lagos State.
Prior to Qazeem’s feat, no contender has ever won the car prize since the show gained nationwide attention.
On its studio edition which promises N1 million cash prize and a car from Remmy Matics, several guests proficient in Yoruba language have made several efforts to break the jinx but often ended up failing as they drop points either by speaking English in the course of the programme or getting an answer wrong.
The programmes had also featured several celebrities from the entertainment industry such as Funke Akindele, Folarin Falana (Falz), and Oriyomi Hamzat, amongst others.
