The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has announced an extension in the grace period for the enforcement of Tinted Glass Permit requirements to August 12th, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Saturday.
The extension was approved by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetoku, following public feedback on the recently reactivated digital application process.
According to the statement, the extension aims to allow additional enhancements and refinements to the application process, ensuring that no member of the public is unduly disadvantaged.
The NPF reiterated that it is actively working to simplify and improve both the physical and contactless application options including enhanced verification mechanisms and streamlined procedures to reduce delays and eliminate undue inconveniences.
The statement emphasized that the only authorized platform for the application and renewal of the Tinted Glass Permit is www.possap.gov.ng.
Citizens are also urged to report any unauthorized fees or incidents of extortion encountered during the application process to police authorities, including via the dedicated hotline: 09169967000.
The Force reiterated its commitment to digital innovation, public safety, and improving service delivery, while thanking the public for their cooperation and patience during the ongoing reforms.
