The Lagos office of Nollywood’s actress, Iyabo Ojo, has been gutted by fire few weeks after receiving a life-threatening letter.
As disclosed in a post on her Instagram handle, the incident occurred around 7pm on Tuesday with several furniture burnt and the interior of the building partially damaged by the inferno.
The actress however confirmed that no life was lost in the incident while commending the Nigerian Fire Service for their swift response.
“This just happened today the 8th of July 2025. Around 7pm, my office building caught fire.
“Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left.
“Thankfully no lives were lost. The devil tested us today but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.” Iyabo wrote.
Meanwhile, her daughter, Priscilla Ojo would in a post on her Instagram handle on Wednesday disclosed that the tragic incident is coming weeks after the actress received a life-threatening letter delivered at the burnt office while she was en route Tanzania for the grand finale of Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian music artist, Juma Jux.
According to the actress’s daughter the letter on the 24th of May with the unknown sender threatening to ruin her marriage while noting that her mother is under strict surveillance.
“Sadly, on the 24th of May, this letter was delivered to my mother’s office (the same one that was engulfed in fire yesterday).
“Strictly speaking, it was a threat to life and a strategy to ruin JP2025. Fortunately, she was en route to Tanzania for my wedding, which didn’t give her the opportunity to read the threat letter till her return.
“We shall eventually detect the face of the delivery agent and show the public and the police at the right time even though more CCTV has been mounted both in her office and at home.” She said.
Priscilla further reiterated that the arson was the alternative plan of the perpetrators to get to her mother after failing to ruin her wedding day.
