France on Wednesday defeated the only surviving African team in the ongoing World Cup competition defeating Morocco 2-0.
France had shot into the lead in the 7th minute of the encounter as T. Hernandez put a goal past goalkeeper of Morocco.
After the goal, the French took almost complete control of the match until about 28th minute of the game when Morocco challenged the domination.
But France took charge of the match again leading to a goal in the 79th minute by Kolo Muani.
Muani had scored the second goal less than one minute after replacing Dembele.
The last three minutes of the game witnessed the Moroccans charging like bulls at the goal mouth of the French. All the efforts ended up in vain.
French President Emmanuel Macron, was in attendance standing up to applaud in the crowd when the second goal went in.

This will be France’s fourth World Cup final in seven editions and they are hoping to become the first team since Brazil 60 years ago to retain the trophy when they take on Argentina at Lusail Stadium on Sunday.
Morocco will have to settle for a third place final against Croatia on Saturday, Morocco and Croatia already played each other in the group stage at Qatar with the match ending goalless but this time, a winner must emerge.
