A fresh video of how Adeniyi Matthew, the Director-General of the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council/Presidential Economic Advisory Council, hosted an investment summit has surfaced online.
The pre-world investment summit dinner in Abuja last year had in attendance diplomats, politicians and security officials.
Video clip of the event shared on Thursday by the Cable showed arrival of the dignitaries at the event where Adeniyi unveiled the agenda and logo of the World Investment Summit.
In his address at the event, the DG of the council, who had been labelled an impostor, described the unveiling of the summit’s logo and agenda as a start to Nigeria’s collective journey with the investors.
“Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we gather to unveil the official agenda and logo of World Investment Summit, symbolising the start of our collective journey.
“We engage our diplomatic partners and development institutions in shaping and summit’s vision.” He said.
Some of the foreign diplomats who spoke at the event commended the Federal Government over the summit.
However, the summit alongside several events and activites held by Adeniyi and his council are now subject of controversies in the wake of the Federal Government’s claim of him being a impostor with his council labelled a ‘fictious council’ by the presidency.
